Magnetic Drive Pumps
What is a Magnetic drive pump?
Magnetic Pumps are specialized pumps in chemical pump applications, especially toxic chemicals. True to the name of the pump is designed according to the principle of driving by magnetic force. Consequently, pumps of this type do not have a guide shaft, and therefore do not need shaft sealing accessories such as seals or mechanical seals.
Magnetic drive pumps are often used to pump corrosive and abrasive chemicals such as seawater, acids, bases, solvents, in food technology, pharmaceuticals, and chemical products ... With outstanding features are sealed. Absolutely between the pump chamber and the engine, so it does not cause the leakage of harmful chemicals affecting the environment and the operator. This is a specialized product commonly used in chemical pump applications, especially toxic chemicals.
Principle of operation
Magnetic-driven pumps work on magnetic force instead of directly connected to the motor shaft. So these pumps do not need a seal to seal the pump chamber, meaning that the pump will not have a leak like other pumps.
Magnetic pump works when the motor drives a magnetic force, from magnets outside the pump housing. The inside of the cylindrical pump housing has a thin layer to separate the inner and outer magnetic poles. The internal magnetic poles are attached to the impeller of the centrifugal pump or to the rotor of the PD pump. Magnetic propagates from the external magnet to the inner magnet, rotating the rotor / rotor without the need to connect directly to the motor.
This seal-free construction offers a lot of benefits, low maintenance costs, avoids seal leaks and is especially cost-effective for systems requiring double mechanical seals.
Advantages of magnetic motion pump
Magnetic motion pumps are specialized pumps with many outstanding advantages as follows:
- Absolutely no leakage during operation
- Anti-corrosion, resistant to many chemicals
- Compact structure with high working efficiency
- Do not use mechanical seals, save maintenance costs.
- Used for high concentration chemicals: Concentrated acid, Dilute acid, 98% H2SO4, 75% HCl ...
Disadvantages of magnetic motion pump:
In addition to the outstanding advantages, customers should note the disadvantages in the pump selection process:
- Fluids containing solid particles or impurities cannot be pumped. Can be overcome for chemicals that can be filtered before pumping.
- The cost of energy consumption is higher than that of conventional water pumps.
- No self-priming, can't run dry.
Application
- Application for pumping hot concentrated acids, concentrated acids, strongly corrosive strong acids, strong alkaline bases
- Has applications in the waste treatment industry, chemical industry, petrochemical industry
- Application in paint spraying industry, including solid coatings, Plating injection pump application
- Applications in the electronics industry
- Application in pharmaceutical and food industries, Paper industry applications
- Application of thickeners: thick ink, thick glue, thick plastic
- Application of rubber pump, liquid glass
- Application of hot oil pump, asphalt, hot plastic
- And many more fields ...
