Ertalon^® 66 SA

This is a material with a higher mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance than Ertalon 6 SA. It also has a better creep resistance but its impact strength and mechanical damping ability are reduced. Well suited for machining on automatic lathes. Please note that Ertalon 66 SA natural rods over dia. 150 mm are made from a modified polyamide 66 resin. 

Ertalon® 66SA Polyamide PA66 / Nylatron® 101 Polyamide PA66 unmodified shapes are characterized by their superior combination of strength and toughness. Compared to other unmodified nylon grades, Ertalon® 66SA PA66 / Nylatron® 101 PA66 components possess superior mechanical strength, stiffness, wear resistance, in addition to displaying one of the highest melting points of all PA66 materials. Due to these properties, and this grade’s FDA and EU food compliant composition, Ertalon® 66SA PA66 / Nylatron® 101 PA66 is often specified for screw machined electrical insulators, bushings, bearings, gears, roller wheels, star wheels, and seals.

Ertalon 66 SA natural (rods, plates) is available as a "Food Grade".
